Amy

A pictorial chop with pine tree penjing, books, and scrolls in a pot with a seal "Amy" above in red characters. The stone has a carving of a woman holding a lotus and sitting on a phoenix (probably Guanyin). The stone was provided by Carol Weliky who purchased it in China in the 1970's with her name transcribed into Chinese in clerical script. She was not fond of the seal and commissioned me to redo it as a gift for her friend's birthday.
