He Tong

He Tong (?-1628) 何通 was born in Tai-tsan, Jiangshu Province.

“He was also a master of the Si-shui school. He was proficient in seal engraving and followed the style of Han seals and that of Sue-xuan. His style of seal engraving is crisp and vigorous; therefore, he was named one of the masters of the Si-shui school by Zhu-jian. He wrote a book, Yin-shi, which contained six volumes. The book collected more than five-hundred private seals, and the prefaces were written by Sue-xuan, Wang Kai-du, and so on.”
