Wang Ti

Wang Ti 王禔 (1880-1960) was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province but lived in Shanghai. One of the founders, along with Ding Ren, Wu Yin, and Ye Ming, of the Xiling Seal Society in Hanghzou in 1904.

“He was proficient in mathematics and all styles of calligraphy. While carving seals, he imitated the merits of the Zhe and Wan schools. His arrangement of layout was well-organized and his style was plain and homely. He considered that beginners should follow the rules of seal engraving.”
