Ye Ming

Ye Ming 叶铭 (1867-1948) was born in Xi county, Anhui Province but lived in Hangzhou. One of the founders, along with Ding Ren, Wang Ti, and Wu Yin, of the Xiling Seal Society in Hanghzou in 1904.

“He was good at carving stones and rubbing stele. He also dove into the study of bronze and stone inscriptions. He showed great talent in calligraphy. He followed the style of Chin and Han seals. … He had a great achievement in editing the detailed information of sealcarvers.”
