Ju Luhou

Ju Luhou 鞠履厚 (1734-1786) was born in Fong-xian, Jiang-shu Province, “and was one of the seal carvers in the Yun-jian School. He was a frugal and simple person. Besides, the integrity of Ju Luhou was unquestioned. He dove into the study of historiography. He was good at the art of calligraphy and seal engraving. His works were beautiful and elegant, and not bound by traditional styles. That also made him famous at that time. He and his cousin, Wang Sheng-zheng, were both seal carvers in the Yun-jian School.”
