Liang Zhi 梁袠 (?-1644) was born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, and lived in Nanjing. He was a student of He Zhen and took the works of He as examples to follow. “But his arrangement of layout was not confined by the style of He. Then a new style of seal engraving was created. While selecting seal characters, Liang Zhi was not bound by current regulations, so his style was admired by later seal carvers.”
